Priceless Apologue

Once upon a time, there lived a man whose name was Ramesh. Ramesh was hardworking and earned his daily wages. He used to observe people around him and get thoughts about how happy the people around him were and how only he had problems in his own life. He used to grieve about his life's miseries all day long. One day, a great sage from the Himalayas arrived in his town. Ramesh headed to meet this sage and find the solution to his problem. He met the sage and began shedding tears over his problems. The wise sage knew that Ramesh must understand the importance of life and his existence. The sage assured him that he would find a solution to his problem and told Ramesh to visit him the next day. Ramesh happily returned home and slept peacefully that night, thinking that night would be his last night worrying about his problems. The next day, Ramesh proceeded to meet the sage. The sage told him that he would give him a boon. A boon that allows him to become whoever he feels is satisfi...

A note from myself to my higher self!!

"Change" is something we all fret at atleast get slight disturbed in our head. For fixed earth signs like Taurus, "Change" is something that they dread their life for. Taureans always want to follow routine. I myself am Taurus and I totally understand how hard it would be to let "change" in life, even the smallest of the things like changing phones, we would find the old phone to be always better than the new phone because we were used to the "routine" settings and touch of the old phone. "Change" comes like a major havoc in their life. I was once watching youtube videos of cute rabbits. I bumped on this video where the bunny is struggling to get out of a skating ground. The skating ground was big circular area with high walls. It had fallen off from above while in search of something. Now, the bunny is struggling to get out of the ground. But the walls are soo high, it can't run or climb over the walls. The bunny tries it's lev...

EPIC EXAM!!

Today, I am going to share the funny experience I had. Another busy day in Dept. Of Periodontics, and guess what, I had to give my end posting exam that day. End posting exam is given at the end of month rather after approximately 1 month of posting in that particular department. So, that day I had end posting exam of periodontics. Now, I had to search patient for my exam. This hunting is such a tedious task. I don't really think the lion would hunt this painfully for it's prey.  So, after a lot of searching, I got this patient for hand scaling. But, the time was already 12:00 pm. It was saturday afternoon. So I had to eventually give exam on monday.  Now, I should give the patient instructions to come back on monday and get her scaling done. This lady is around 35 yrs ... I still remember her face👀... So, I explained her the college timings and requested her to come on monday. I asked her for the contact number so that on monday I would call her to know if she has arrived at...

MY MOM IS AT FAULT!

Another busy day of OPD in Periodontics dept., 19 year old boy, who is now a student in Arts College,p resented with yellowish discolouration of teeth with few pits on the teeth. This discoloration is mainly because of TETRACYCLINE drug administered during pregnancy, and he had come for scaling of his teeth. In lame man terms it is called "TEETH CLEANING". So, as usual before attempting any procedure on patient, we take case history and same goes with him. In the middle of history, when I questioned him about how long he had the discolored teeth and he said right from the eruption of first tooth in the mouth, he has this discoloration. "Do you know the cause for it?" Exactly in his words:"My mom is at fault. I don't know why did she consume something which would affect my appearance. And the neighbours say I had soft skull which went "IN AND OUT" and I was named "FOOL" by all in my childhood days. The way he said me this really shook ...

TRAGEDY OF SOCIETY

We are the creators of beautiful smile. We help to give a new beautiful world to people out there. A noted proverb "You are never fully dressed without a smile" is really true. This is heart wrenching story. I am sure it's going to be more heart wrenching because she is our peer, meaning one among us in this society.  A busy day in OPD of Periodontics. As usual I was taking case history of patients along with senior. As the senior asked me to check the new file, it turned out that the diagnosis done by Oral Medicine and Radiology was that of AMELOGENESIS IMPERFECTA. So, Amelogenesis imperfecta represents a group of HEREDITARY DEFECTS OF ENAMEL unassociated with any generalized defect. So basically it affects during formation of the outer layer of enamel. Teeth affected can be discoloured and prone to damage. There maybe pits seen on the teeth. Few cases are of HYPOCALCIFICATION type which can have teeth to be of smaller sizes and discoloured teeth. So this was a case of ...
