EPIC EXAM!!

Today, I am going to share the funny experience I had.

Another busy day in Dept. Of Periodontics, and guess what, I had to give my end posting exam that day. End posting exam is given at the end of month rather after approximately 1 month of posting in that particular department. So, that day I had end posting exam of periodontics. Now, I had to search patient for my exam. This hunting is such a tedious task. I don't really think the lion would hunt this painfully for it's prey. 

So, after a lot of searching, I got this patient for hand scaling. But, the time was already 12:00 pm. It was saturday afternoon. So I had to eventually give exam on monday. 

Now, I should give the patient instructions to come back on monday and get her scaling done. This lady is around 35 yrs ... I still remember her face👀... So, I explained her the college timings and requested her to come on monday. I asked her for the contact number so that on monday I would call her to know if she has arrived at the hospital. Now, the epic part begins. She took out a paper and gave me. There was a phone number written on that paper. Now, the phone number belonged to her son, as she claimed. I asked her phone number and she gave her son's. 

Let's IMAGINE she has no phone number of her own. Then, I agreed to call her on that number on monday. There is a twist here, do remember that she has given the number to me to call her on monday. 

Then, I went through file again and noticed that she had to get OPG (Orthopantomagram) in other words, full mouth X-ray done. There was still 1 hour left. So I advised her to get OPG done today itself , so that she would'nt have to waste her time on monday. 

So she has gone to radiology dept, only to notice big que. She has come back to my dept, to inform me. I went along with her, and with my influence😎.. yahh .. influence.... 😛.. I got the bill done and now everything was ready for OPG in 15 mins . I had asked this lady to remove all the gold she is wearing and wait and meanwhile I would get her bill done. I completed all my work and came back to see her sitting idle. I went crazy seeing her like that😳... I took all the pain to get her bill done just because she was my patient .. no.. "EXAM PATIENT" and she without any gratitude sitting idle. I went to ask her why she had'nt removed all her gold and she said me she forgot🥴😥...EPICCC WOMAN. Then she started to remove them and I was like hurry up and she is saying me "Help me"... 

What am I? Am I even a doctor or some helper? ... I went really crazy at that moment, but controlled myself. Then, her OPG was done and gave her final instructions that she should come back on monday for her scaling. She went agreeing to it.

Finally, monday arrives. It's almost time for my exam. And I had been continuously calling her for past 20 mins ... and she arrives to the dept. Upon arrival , I asked her why  had'nt she picked my call and she said "SHE HAD FORGOTTON HER PHONE AT HOME."

I am done and was done... upon hearing this.

Then I took her inside the clinic and did hand scaling and gave oral hygiene instructions and sent her.

This is something that makes me laugh till today, upon some conversation, I asked her what her age was .. and she replied 35 years. 

Me- "Matte hing yak adiri"(Then why are you like this)

Her- "Aii, heng adivi, chanda adivi"(hey, how am I, I am fine only)

I would really like to salute firstly her husband, then her son and finally her mother-in-law. It's really not sooo funny, but the way she behaved , her carefree attitude and her illiterate attitude made me go crazy.

Anyways, I hope she is happy and healthy, because she is one cute lady though.😁😄
